Sergei Novikov

At about 30, I took a conscious approach to photography. My background is technical, having worked in IT for a long time. I spent several years studying, shooting digitally, and searching for my genre and style. I prefer individual studio shoots, which is what I focused on.

Then I switched to film and began shooting personal projects. This also involved developing my aesthetic and artistic perception. Generally, the transformation of a photographer’s artistic vision is commonplace. Now I prefer modernism and classic photography, like Peter Lindbergh and Helmut Newton.

I don’t want to create manifestos or complex ideological shoots. I enjoy form and the play of light and shadow on it, whether it’s the shape of the human body, architecture, or technical devices. I enjoy industrial design. I love luxury and the spaces in which it is presented.
